Casual Educators
We are looking for educators to join our team and work casually at our services in the Penrith region with:

Educators of any qualification level in Early Childhood Education are welcome to apply. (All Sweetpeas employees are required to have a current Working With Children Check.)

The successful ECT applicant will be required to plan for and lead a small group of preschool aged children (4-5 years) utilising the EYLF and play-based curriculum.
​
Service educators are responsible for providing the highest quality of education and care for children enrolled. We expect our educators' work to be consistent with our philosophy and curriculum, and to meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework.
Key Responsibilities:

Model effective application of pedagogy in teaching practice.
-
Assess children’s learning and development and apply pedagogical expertise to inform curriculum decisions.
-
Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families.
-
Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
-
Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program.
-
Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members.
-
Contribute to a professional and positive work culture.
Essential Criteria:
-
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or above (if you are enrolled in an ECT degree and either have a Diploma qualification OR are at least 50% complete, you may also be eligible)
-
NESA registration (if degree complete)
-
Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
-
Current first aid and CPR (HLTAID012+HLTAID009)
-
Child Protection training (CHCPRT001 or CHCPRT025)
-
Experience preferred, but not required - new graduates welcome to apply

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Strong understanding of NQS and EYLF
